Whether the slab is level
An unlevel slab telegraphs through plank as flex and hollow spots, and locking joints work themselves apart over a year or two. It gets flagged and levelled, not covered.
Why LVP Wins In Florida
Luxury vinyl plank is the most practical floor in Tampa Bay, and it is not close. It is waterproof rather than water-resistant, so a burst supply line or a lanai door left open in August does not end with cupped boards and a claim. It handles the swing between air-conditioned dry and Gulf-coast humid without gapping the way solid wood does in the same rooms.
It is also the fastest of the plank floors to install, which matters more than most homeowners expect. Most of a house goes down in a day or two rather than a week, so you are not living around a job site, eating off a counter and moving furniture from room to room while adhesive cures.
We supply the plank, the underlayment, the transitions and the trim, and we bring the samples to you. You choose colour, plank width and wear layer at your own kitchen table, in your own light, next to your own cabinets — not under the fluorescent lights of a big-box aisle.
Before We Quote
Most of what goes wrong with a new floor was already there before the new floor arrived. Here is what gets looked at while we are measuring — and shown to you, not just noted.

02
Florida slabs hold moisture. Laying a floor over a damp slab traps it. If we find it, you will see it and hear what needs to happen before anything goes down.
03
A slow leak under a dishwasher or by a slider does not stop because there is a new floor over it. We would rather find it at the quote than have you find it next summer.
04
Where the new plank meets tile, carpet or an exterior threshold decides whether the job looks finished. Doors that no longer clear the floor get sorted, not shaved as an afterthought.
05
Stairs are the part most installers price last and execute worst. We install stair nosing and treads to match the floor so the transition does not look like an add-on.
06
Every room gets walked before a quote exists. A number produced from a phone call is a guess, and guesses turn into change orders.
How It Goes
Step 01
Tell us roughly what rooms and what you are thinking. No measurements needed yet, and nothing is committed.
Step 02
We measure properly and bring plank samples with us — colours, widths and wear layers — so you are choosing in the room the floor is going in.
Step 03
Slab level, moisture, leaks, transitions, door clearances. If there is a problem, you get shown the actual problem.
Step 04
Demolition and haul-away, install, materials and trim listed separately, so you can see what you are paying for and change your mind on any line.
Step 05
Furniture moved, old flooring removed and hauled away, subfloor prepared, plank installed by the owner and his crew.
Step 06
Baseboards and transitions finished, site cleaned, furniture put back where it was. Then we walk it with you before we leave.

Common Questions
Most homes are done in one to two days. A single room is usually a same-day job; a whole house with furniture to move and old flooring to remove runs to two, occasionally three days. The bigger variable is not the plank — it is what is underneath. If the slab needs levelling or a moisture issue turns up, that gets handled first, and we tell you before we start rather than mid-job.
No. We supply everything — plank, underlayment, transitions, baseboards and trim. You do not need to visit a store, price-match anything or arrange delivery. We bring samples to your home so you can compare colour, plank width and wear layer in the actual room, next to your own cabinets and in your own light. Choosing flooring under store lighting is how people end up with a colour they did not expect.
The plank itself is, yes — a genuine LVP has a waterproof core, so standing water on the surface will not swell or cup it the way it would laminate or solid hardwood. That is why it is the sensible choice in Florida kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and anywhere near a sliding door. What it cannot fix is water arriving from underneath. A damp slab or an active leak has to be dealt with before installation, which is why we check for both while we measure.
Sometimes, and sometimes it is a bad idea. It depends on whether the existing surface is sound, level and dry, and on how much height you can afford to lose at doors and thresholds. Going over a floor that is cracked, hollow or sitting on moisture just moves the problem up one layer. We will tell you honestly which situation you are in. Most of the time removing the old floor is the right call, and we handle removal and haul-away.
You get shown it. Antonio will walk you to the spot, show you the dip or the hollow, and explain what it does to a plank floor over the next year — flex underfoot, joints separating, a hollow sound in one part of a room. Then levelling it is quoted as its own line so you can see the cost rather than have it buried. We would rather lose the job than install over a floor we know will fail.
Yes — stairs, landings, nosing and treads, matched to the floor. Stairs are the part of a plank job that most often looks wrong, because the nosing is treated as an afterthought. We install baseboards, trim and stair nosing as part of the same job so the whole thing reads as one floor.
We install across Hillsborough and Pinellas: Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Largo, Town ’n’ Country, Riverview, Palm Harbor, Pinellas Park, Wesley Chapel, Odessa and Gibsonton. If you are just outside that list, call and ask — it is usually fine.
