Plank has taken over most of the Florida house, and it should have. But bedrooms are a different question. Carpet is warmer and quieter underfoot, it takes the echo out of a room, and on stairs it is safer than a hard surface — which is why most homes that go all-plank downstairs still put carpet in the bedrooms and on the stairs.
The part that decides whether a carpet job lasts is the part nobody looks at: the pad underneath and how hard the carpet was stretched. Under-stretched carpet develops ripples and waves within a year or two and has to be pulled up and re-stretched. A cheap pad flattens out and the carpet above it starts to look worn long before the fibre has actually worn.
We supply the carpet and the pad, and bring samples to your home so you can compare pile, colour and density in your own light. We move the furniture, remove and haul away the old carpet, and put the room back the way we found it.

The pad underneath
The pad carries the traffic. A thin, low-density pad flattens and the carpet above it looks tired long before the fibre is worn out.

What is under the pad
A dip, a hollow or a damp spot in the subfloor telegraphs through carpet as an uneven, spongy patch. It gets checked and shown to you at the quote.

Where the seams land
Seams put in the middle of a sightline or across a doorway show. Planned properly they disappear. That is a decision made before cutting, not after.

Do you move the furniture?
Yes. Moving furniture out and putting it back is part of the job, not an extra you have to arrange or pay for separately. One of our reviews specifically mentions it — helpful in moving furniture around and putting it back where it goes. You do not need to empty the room before we arrive.
How long does carpet installation take?
A bedroom is usually a few hours. A whole house, with furniture to move and old carpet to pull up and haul away, is generally a single day, sometimes spilling into a second if there are stairs or a lot of rooms. Carpet is the quickest floor to live through, which is part of why it suits bedrooms.
Do I need to buy the carpet myself?
No. We supply the carpet and the pad, and we bring samples to your home so you can compare pile, colour and density where the carpet is actually going. Carpet colour in particular looks different under store lighting than it does in your own bedroom, which is exactly the kind of surprise we would rather you did not have.
Why does carpet ripple, and will mine?
Ripples come from carpet that was not stretched hard enough at installation, and occasionally from a pad that has broken down underneath. It is an installation problem, not a carpet-quality problem — which is why it happens to expensive carpet as often as cheap carpet. Properly power-stretched carpet over a decent pad stays flat. We stretch it properly the first time, because we are not in the business of coming back to fix it.
Do you repair or re-stretch existing carpet?
No. We install new flooring only — no repair work, no re-stretching, no cleaning. If your existing carpet has rippled and you want it re-stretched rather than replaced, a carpet repair specialist is the right call and we would rather send you to one than take on work outside what we do.
Can you carpet stairs?
Yes — stairs and landings, including the trim and transitions where the carpet meets a hard floor at the top or bottom. Stairs are fiddly and are where a rushed carpet job shows first, so they get the same attention as the rest of the house.
